Appointment of New Dean of the Peking University-Guanghua School of Management

We are pleased to announce that Professor LIU Qiao has accepted the appointment to the position of Dean of Peking University, Guanghua School of Management. LIU Qiao assumed his new role from January 13, 2017.

A financial expert and the former Associate Dean of the Executive MBA program, he will bring to Guanghua a strong vision for leadership and a passion for advancing management knowledge and cultivating leaders for China and the world. 

Before coming to Guanghua, Prof. LIU was a professor at the College of Economics and Business Administration at Hong Kong University. He also served as a consultant at McKinsey. 

A Sichuan native, Prof. LIU graduated from Renmin University in China with a B.A. in Applied Mathematics, he earned an M.A. in International Finance from the Graduate department of the People's Bank of China, and a PhD in Economics from the University of California.

Prof. LIU is the author of best-sellers in English and Chinese, among them Finance in Asia: institutions, regulation, and policy and Asia’s debt capital markets: prospects and strategies for development.

Prof. CAI Hongbin who has been a beloved professor of applied economics since 2005 and Dean since 2010 will continue to teach at Guanghua.
