DBIC January Program Starts in Sunshine Beijing
The Doing Business in China (DBIC) January program opened on 12th January 2009. 24 MBA students from the University of Amsterdam Business School at the Netherland and 30 Master students from ESADE Business School at Spain participate in this program.
The orientation started at 9:00 and Ms. Julia Hu, the Exchange Programs Manager of International Relations Office emceed the orientation. Professor Xinzhong Xu, Professor Hean Tat Keh, Dr. Jianfeng Wu and all staff at International Relations Office participated in the opening ceremony. Professor Xinzhong Xu, the Associate Dean, representing the Guanghua School of Management, gave a very warm welcome to the students and the guests. Julia also invited Professor Josep Franch, the Director of MSc Programs at ESADE Business School, and Ms. Yvonne Langen, the Program Manager of International Master Programs MIF and MBA of the University of Amsterdam Business School, to give a short speech on behalf of their home schools during the orientation. Both of them appreciated the study opportunity which the Guanghua School of Management offered to their students and hoped to continue cooperating on the DBIC Program in the future. After that, Dr. Jianfeng Wu, the Acdemic Director of the DBIC-January Program 2009, gave an overview of doing business in China, including a brief introduction to the Chinese economy, history and culture. Julia introduced the history of Doing Business in China Programs.
Later, the DBIC participants enjoyed the campus tour guided by Guanghua local students after the orientation. They felt exciting about the campus of the Peking University. A tug-of-war was competed between the University of Amsterdam students and ESADE Business School students. They tried their best for the victory of their team. Everyone was happy with the start of DBIC Program.
